The Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake has made an appearance once again for a latest round of testing and our spies were on hand to catch these revealing shots. The prototype still wears the minimal amount of camouflage on its rear end, but once again fails to hide any of the styling elements from prying eyes.

The latest model that is set to join Mercedes line-up is aiming to carve out a new niche, much like the original CLS four-door coupe way back in 2004. A preview was displayed for the first time at the Beijing Motor Show in 2010 and we could be treated to the full production unveiling at the same venue. The 2012 show starts at the end of this month.

Power will be generated from an array of petrol and diesel options that have been sourced from its four-door coupe sibling and further down the line an AMG variant is expected to be available.
