Subaru has announced the 2013 Legacy model, which will debut at Auto China in Beijing next month, will display "extensive modifications" beyond the typical yearly model updates.
More than likely just the facelifted models, which debuted at the New York Auto Show this week, Subaru emphasizes the 2013 Legacy will be shown in Chinese specification.
However, Subaru may have dropped us a hint about a raised ride height version of the Legacy - perhaps the return of the Outback sedan?
"In the view of the market characteristics, the 2013 Legacy model for Chinese market was specially designed not only to enhance its great presence but also to embody the bold and dynamic design with its raised ground clearance," a press statement read.
Currently the fifth generation Outback is the only Subaru variant with a raised ride height and it comes as a wagon only. Looking at the teaser photo slightly enhanced, the air gap between the wheels and body is quite high.
Subaru also announced the Subaru BRZ will be show in China for the first time as well as a new Chinese rally car but gave no further details.
