Fisker are yet to confirm a launch date for the Atlantic but have confirmed they have every intention of developing this prototype to full production standard.

Fisker Automotive has pulled the covers off the Atlantic plug-in hybrid design prototype at the New York Auto Show.

The company describes the Atlantic as a bold future direction for the brand. The four-door sporting sedan previews a new entry level model that will be sold alongside the Fisker Karma and will be aimed at young families.

The Atlantic comes equipped with the second generation EVer (Electric Vehicle with extended range) powertrain technology. Technical details are limited but we do know the range extending power output is generated from a four-cylinder engine and can be passed to the wheels via the standard rear-wheel-drive or optional all-wheel-drive.
