Silverstone Auctions has announced plans to offer a rare Toleman TG184-2 Formula One car driven by Ayrton Senna in his debut season.

A highlight of the company's Spring Sale, which takes place on May 16th, the car has been fully restored and is "capable of being raced or demonstrated globally."

While Senna's 1984 season wasn't full of success, he drove this particular model to a second place finish in the rain-soaked Monaco GP.

According to Nick Whale, the managing director of Silverstone Auctions, "We are thrilled to bring this iconic race car to auction as it's undoubtedly one of the most important lots we've ever offered under the hammer."

The company declined to give an estimate on the car's value but, like everything else in Formula One, it won't be cheap.
