In a recent interview, Jaguar design director Ian Callum dismissed speculation that the company is developing an SUV.
Jaguar design director Ian Callum has revealed the company has no plans to build an SUV.
Speaking with Car Advice, Callum said "I can categorically say that an SUV, as such, is out of the question. We have a sister company [Land Rover] that produces the best SUVs in the world." However, he hinted there maybe "some grey areas in between we could investigate."
This could imply Jaguar is considering a ‘butched up' wagon in the same vein as the Volvo XC70 and Audi A6 Allroad, but Callum would only say the company has looked at many potential new segments and hasn't decided on which ones to enter.
