Porsche just unveiled the 2013 Boxster at the Geneva Motor Show, but a leaked image from a press conference is indicating the Boxster S has lapped the Nürburgring in just 7 minutes and 58 seconds.

While these times should always been taken with a grain of salt, the results are better than laps posted by the Chevrolet Corvette and Cadillac CTS-V. More importantly, the time is 12 seconds faster than the previous Boxster S.

To refresh, the model has a 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine with 315 PS (232 kW / 311 hp) and 360 Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the roadster to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 279 km/h (173 mph) when equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.
