In homage of the beach buggies of the 1960s, Fiat has created the Portofino Show Van, it is based on the Fiorino – the small van in the Fiat range and it is set to hit the commercial vehicles show circuit starting with the the Carvan Salon in Dusseldorf which starts on the 29th August.

The base Fiorino Combi vehicle is the passenger version of the range which features five seats. For the concept, the roof has gone AWOL along with the doors which have been replaced by some rope. The floor of the interior is made out of wood whilst the dashboard is repainted to match the newly upholstered seats.

The low key displays of this model makes full production unlikely however Fiat have pointed out that a covered version will be available at a later stage for protection against sun and rain.
