Nissan has released first images of the Invitation concept, a preview of the company's high-volume B-segment contender which launches in 2013. Possibly the next-generation Nissan Note, the tall roof compact hatchback will be offered in Europe as it joins the Micra city car and Juke crossover models.
Set to make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the Invitation is targeting ultra-low CO2 emissions under 100g/km to wear its Pure Drive badge as well as class-leading levels of fuel efficiency.
François Bancon, Deputy Division General Manager of Product Strategy and Product Planning Division, said, "The name we have given to this concept is self-explanatory... the key benefit of this compact car is to be inviting.
"It is inviting thanks to its sensuous exterior design and generous and comfortable interior space, cleverly packaged within compact overall dimensions. It is Nissan's invitation to buyers in the compact hatchback segment."
More details will be released when the Invitation makes its world premiere in Geneva on March 6.
