Volkswagen has been talking up their MQB platform, but new details are starting to emerge about the MSB platform that is reportedly being developed by Porsche.

New details are starting to emerge about the MSB platform (modular standard architecture) that will reportedly underpin future Bentleys, the next-generation Porsche Panamera and possibly a Lamborghini or two.

According to Car and Driver, the platform is being developed by Porsche and will be used on front-engined, rear- and all-wheel drive vehicles. The architecture will reportedly have steel and aluminum construction which could enable it to weigh at least 200 lbs (91 kg) less that the current Panamera platform.
