German specialty marque Roding is currently preparing a Roadster that is due to hit the market later this year and we have a video of a development prototype to feast your eyes over.

The two-seater mid-engine sportscar has been designed to be lightweight. It starts with a chassis made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) and front and rear subframes made from an aluminum-CFRP hybrid structure. It will be powered by a six-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 300 PS (220 kW / 295 hp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Altogether it results in a kerb weight of 950 kg (2090 lbs) and a power to weight ratio of 3 kg/PS.

The Roding Roadster is scheduled to be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on March 6th.
