Turbocharging has been ruled out by Lamborghini box Stephan Winkelmann, however that could change in the future. In an interview with British magazine Autocar, he confirmed that if the brand were to delve into this territory, it wouldn't be until the end of the current decade.

Turbocharging is not currently considered part of Lamborghini's DNA and the brand is not about to move off the road that fans know and love. Fuel regulations could one day force their hand, but for now there is nothing in the pipeline.

Winkelmann also took the time to speculate on the future of the Gallardo. Just yesterday we reported on rumors that Lamborghini are planning to unveil two new super cars in Geneva in just over a month's time. Many had predicted that one of these model's would be the next generation Gallardo, but the Lambo boss has confirmed this model is still two years away.
