Infiniti M35h battles the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid [video]

The Infiniti M35h set a quarter-mile acceleration record last year, but how does it fair against the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid? Pretty well, according to a video released by the company.

As you can see, fake Stig's driving talent is no match for the Japanese hybrid as it accelerates from 0-100 mph (161 km/h) in 11.54 seconds and runs the quarter mile in 13.41 seconds. The latter time is quicker than the previously announced results, but that's appearantly what Infiniti is using to claim the title as the world's "fastest accelerating full hybrid."

As we have previously reported, the Panamera S Hybrid has a 333 PS (245 kW / 329 bhp) supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine which is backed up by an electric motor that produces 47 PS (34 kW / 46 bhp). This gives the car a combined maximum output of 380 PS (279 kW / 375 bhp) which enables it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 270 km/h (168 mph).

The M35h, on the other hand, features a 306 PS (225 kW / 302 bhp) 3.5-liter V6 engine which is augmented by a 68 PS (50 kW / 67 bhp) electric motor. This gives the sedan a combined output of 364 PS (268 kW / 359 bhp) which allows it to run from 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, before topping out at 250 km/h (155 mph).
