Despite being camouflaged, the model appears to be heavily influenced by the 500. Notable highlights include Countryman-esque headlights, a short hood and distinctive taillights.

Inside, the cabin is relatively spartan but includes two-tone seats, colored trim and metallic accents. The rear passenger compartment doesn't look terribly comfortable but it should hold small kids without too many complaints.

Engine options will likely carryover from the 500 and there's word of an Abarth variant which could use a turbocharged 1.4-liter petrol with 135 PS (99 kW / 133 hp) and 206 Nm (152 lb-ft) of torque.

The Ellezero will go on sale in Europe later this year and a U.S. launch is scheduled for 2013.
