The highly-anticipated Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series has been spied undergoing cold weather testing near the Arctic Circle.

Heavily disguised, the prototype is distinguished by a new front fascia, revised side skirts and extended fenders. We can also expect high performance brakes and a sport-tuned suspension.

Power will likely be provided by an upgraded 6.3-liter (6,208cc) V8 engine with approximately 650 PS (478 kW / 641 hp). This could enable the supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 3.8 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 322 km/h (200 mph).

The SLS AMG Black Series could be launched sometime next year and pricing is rumored to start at €260,000 ($332,230 / £214,590).
