The luxury arm of the Nissan brand has revealed a teaser image and first details for an upcoming electric sports car concept.
Most of the automotive world's attention is supposed to be focused on the North American International Motor Show in Detroit, but it appears Infiniti is looking to jump ahead to the Geneva Motor Show which doesn't begin until March. The luxury arm of the Nissan brand has revealed a teaser image and first details for an upcoming electric sports car concept.
The extended range sports car will feature a mid-mounted drivetrain which will result in optimal weight distribution and handling. The Japanese automaker has yet to decide on a name for the new concept, but we are told it will deliver a vivid, engaging and sophisticated driving experience from an electrically-propelled vehicle.
This announcement may well have answered a question we discussed in a previous report here on Worldcarfans as Nissan was considering a new electric vehicle model to be launched in the United States. Choices included a small city car, a crossover and a sportscar. It now appears the latter of these options has won the lottery.
