Ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, Dacia has released two preview photos of their upcoming Lodgy MPV.

Due to arrive in market this year, the Lodgy is the latest cornerstone model to fill the hole in the Romanian brand's model range. The Lodgy MPV joins the Logan (saloon), Sandero (hatchback) and Duster (SUV).

Dacia hasn't mentioned any specifications except that its length is 4.5 meters (14.8 feet) and the Lodgy will be available as a five- or seven-seater. This places the Lodgy just about the same length as the Renault Grand Scenic.

We're not going to jump to any conclusion, but it should be noted that the overall silhouette of the greenhouse and roof pitch is quite similar to the Grand Scenic despite having completely unique sheet metal and design details. May we also remind you that Dacia is a subsidiary of Renault Nissan and has shared platforms before with its parent.

The somewhat peculiar name comes from the word "lodge" to indicate the vehicle's spacious comfort for a family and their luggage.

The Dacia Lodgy will come with a 3 year warranty.
