With the demise of the Nissan Silvia/240SX in 2002 Nissan have left a gaping gap in their sports car line-up.
Based on Azeal Concept
The Nissan GT-R has managed to get quite some blood pumping. Firstly it has exceeded prelimenary order expectations and subsequently boosted the Skyline coupe sales and now it has spun off a new rumour about the return of the Nissan Silvia / 240 SX / 200 SX / 180 SX. Whatever the name might be, RocketPunch claims to have confirmation that Nissan will return to the scene with the two seater by 2010.
With the demise of the Nissan Silvia/240SX in 2002 Nissan have left a gaping gap in their sports car line-up. The 350Z might be a good bang-for-your-buck but is not exactly cheap either, so there is definitely room for a lower-end fun-to-drive coupe. The new Silvia is rumoured to be build on the new 'Z' RWD platform and may be powered by a Renault engine (we can only hope for the 230 hp 2.0 liter turbo from the Renault Megane F1 Team R26).

Only time will tell whether any of this is true but rest assured that we will bring you all the latest news when it becomes available. A rear shot artist rendering can be found after the source link.
