It's all just speculation at this point, but if the rendering is authentic and purposely planted by Kia, a debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month is quite possible.

The gents at Kia-World.net have sent us this interesting design sketch which points to the next-generation 2013 Kia Forte.

The only clue we have of its authenticity comes from the credibility of the person who posted it on Kia-World. Known as "Himi", he/she has a history of posting detailed information and renderings far in advance of discovering their authenticity. Himi has been posting since 2005. Hardly convinving, we know, so we'll leave it up to you to decide for yourself, but hopefully the quality of the rendering speaks for itself.

In Himi's own words, "Is this the all-new 2013 Kia Forte 4-door sedan? We have gotten our hands on the exclusive image that previews Kia's next-generation C-segment sedan. Set to make its official debut in 2012, the model will replace the Forte sedan, which has been on sale in the USA since 2009."

The Kia Forte has only been on the market in the U.S. since 2009, hardly the typical six year life span for a manufacturer to introduce a next generation model. But perhaps Kia believes introducing fresh product that is more in line with their new design language is priority. May we remind you that Kia has achieved a miraculous transformation with 17 years of consecutive sales increases and aggressive moves like this are hardly surprising for the Korean manufacturer to keep the momentum going.

It's all just speculation at this point, but if the rendering is authentic and purposely planted by Kia, a debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month is quite possible.
