Bugatti and special editions are virtually synonymous, so it comes as little surprise the company has unveiled the Super Sport Edition Merveilleux.

Bugatti and special editions are virtually synonymous, so it comes as little surprise the company has unveiled the Super Sport Edition Merveilleux.

Apparently a birthday present for a mysterious man named Simon, the one-off model features a carbon fiber exterior and black alloy wheels. Inside, there's blue leather seats with black "Super Sport" logos on the headrests.

As we have previously reported, the Super Sport has a quad turbocharged sixteen-cylinder engine with 1,200 PS (882 kW / 1184 hp) and 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft) of torque. The top speed is limited to 415 km/h (258 mph), but a special variant averaged 430 km/h (268 mph) to claim a new speed record as the world's fastest production vehicle.
