Renault has unveiled the 2012 Scenic and Grand Scenic.
Set to be launched in January, the models have a new front fascia, restyled taillights and updated wheels. Interior changes are minor but include new upholstery and an optional Bose audio system.
Under the hood, two new engines are available. The Energy dCi 110 produces 110 PS (81 kW / 108 hp) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. It averages 4.1 L/100km (57.3 mpg US / 68.9 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 105 g/km. A slightly more powerful version develops 130 PS (96 kW / 128 hp) and returns 4.4 L/100km (53.4 mpg US / 64 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 114 g/km.
The Energy TCe 115, on the other hand, is 20% more fuel efficient than the current 110 PS (81 kW / 108 hp) 1.6 16V engine.
In terms of safety, there's a new Visio system which includes a lane departure warning system and automatic headlights. Hill-start assist also becomes standard equipment.
In France, the Scenic will be priced from €21,350 while the Grand Scenic starts at €24,850.
