Range-topping Genesis Coupe gets a new 3.8 liter V6 unit producing 350 PS (257 kW / 345 hp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque.

Hyundai has released engine specs for the domestic Korean market 2012 Genesis Coupe.

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe with the Lambda 3.8 liter GDI V6 will sport 350 PS (257 kW / 345 hp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. That's 47 horsepower more than the previous Korean-market edition that featured the Lambda 3.8 MPi unit.

Hyundai has also fitted a sound generator to the 3.8 liter unit in order to "raise the emotional quality" of the engine and replace the rougher sound that it naturally emits.

The entry-level Genesis Coupe will come with a Theta 2.0 TCI unit, a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine that now delivers 275 PS (202 kW / 271 hp) and 373 Nm (275 lb-ft) of torque. That's a big boost of 65 horses over the previous 210 PS unit.

Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
