Nissan has unveiled the all-new 2012 NV3500 HD passenger van for North America, based on the NV3500 HD commercial vehicle released just last year.
Nissan is looking to get into a growing U.S.-market segment for full-sized vans, such as the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, which have both commercial and passenger variants.
The NV3500 HD features four rows with a total of 12 seats in a flexible configuration. The model will be available with two engine offerings, a 4.0 liter V6 with an output of 261 hp (195 / 265 PS) and 281 lb-ft (380 Nm) of torque, and a V8 with 317 hp (239 kW / 321 PS) and 385 lb-ft (521 Nm) of torque.
Nissan also offers mobile office support with the NV3500 HD which includes features such as storage for lap top computers and a 120V outlet.
