The special edition features a unique appearance with a gloss-black grille, a rear spoiler and exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels.

Volvo has unveiled the C70 Inscription, ahead of its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Described as the "ultimate expression of Volvo's iconic hardtop convertible," the special edition is available in Ice White or Black Sapphire Metallic. It features a unique appearance with a gloss-black grille, Xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights. There's also a rear spoiler and exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels.

To spruce up the cabin, designers added Sovereign Hide seats, a leather-wrapped dashboard (with contrast stitching) and special floor mats.

Power comes from a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine which has been outfitted with a Polestar ECU. Thanks to this change, the engine develops 250 hp (186 kW / 253 PS) and 273 lb-ft (370 Nm) of torque - an increase of 23 hp (17 kW / 23 PS) and 37 lb-ft (50 Nm).

Only 500 units will be available in the United States and pricing starts at $39,950.
