There's no shortage of Lamborghini Gallardo variants, but a new report is indicating the LP550-2 Spyder will be launched sometime next year.

Originally spied at the Nürburgring in 2010, the car is being described as a "more demanding" roadster that delivers a gratifying driving experience.

Like the LP550-2 coupe, motivation will be provided by a 5.2-liter V10 engine with 550 PS (405 kW / 542 hp) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. It should send power to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential and a six-speed transmission.
