Facelift includes substantial changes to the Passat CC with new front and rear fascias.
Volkswagen has previewed the new 2012 Passat CC model ahead of its debut at the Los Angeles motor show later this month.
The re-design is substantial and features restyled front and rear endss that update the CC to match Volkswagen's new design paradigm. Such details include new front and rear bumper fascias, grille, headlamps and taillamps (both now with LEDs).
In Europe, the Volkswagen CC will be offered with two TDI diesels with Stop/Start and regenerative braking technology (for battery charging) as standard - those are the 2.0 liter TDI with either 103 kW / 140 PS / 138 hp or 125 kW / 170 PS / 168 hp.
On the petrol side will be engine units with outputs of 160 PS (118 kW / 158 hp), 210 PS (155 kW / 208 hp) and 300 PS (220 kW / 296 hp).
For North America, the Volkswagen CC will come with petrol units offering 200 PS (147 kW / 197 hp) and 280 PS (206 kW / 277 hp). A 140 PS (103 kW / 138 hp) TDI will also be made available.
The 2012 Volkswagen CC will be officially unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 18. The model goes on sale in Germany in February 2012 and will be rolled out in markets around the world thereafter.
