Land Rover already has supercharged versions of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, but a new report is indicating the company is considering a performance sub-brand.

In an interview with Inside Line, Land Rover's Global Brand Director, John Edwards, said "there's definitely room for performance products" and the company is "certainly considering" a sub-brand in the same vein as Jaguar's R division.

When asked about rumors of a high-performance Evoque, Edwards dodged the question by commenting "We're very early in the lifecycle of the Evoque and there's a whole list of opportunities we can look at." However, he added "...we need to show its muscle."
