McLaren is gearing up for the 2012 racing season as our spies have snapped three MP4-12C GT3s at the Nürburgring.

Jointly developed with CRS Racing, the GT3 features an aerodynamic body kit with a new front splitter, revised side skirts and a massive rear wing. Other highlights include a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, Akebono brakes and a limited slip rear differential.

Power comes from a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine which has been detuned to produce 500 PS (368 kW / 493 hp). It is connected to a six-speed sequential transmission which weighs 80 kg (176 lbs) less than the seven-speed gearbox used in the standard model.

McLaren plans to build 20 GT3s for 2012 and pricing starts at £310,000 ($499,475 / €352,285).
