The Fiesta-based crossover will be fitted with Ford's new 1.0 liter EcoBoost three-cylinder unit.

The latest spy shots of the 2012 Ford B-Max have come our way - this time of the compact, Fiesta-based crossover testing at the Nürburgring, likely one of the last stages before the introduction of the production model.

The 2012 B-Max is still looking very similar to the concept model that debuted in Geneva earlier this year.

Expected under the hood is Ford's new 1.0 liter EcoBoost three-cylinder unit which will develop an output of approximately 120 hp (89 kW / 122 PS) and 112 lb-ft (152 Nm) of torque.

The new Ford B-Max will likely make its debut at the next Geneva show in March 2012.
