Shoe designer Pierre Hardy provides the footwear accessories to this elegant concept.

This is the Peugeot HX1 Concept - designed in concert with shoe designer Pierre Hardy.

The shoes come as an accessories to this concept (see photos), which is also meant to showcase what a future Peugeot vehicle could look like.

The drivetrain here is real-enough, though, with the HX1 fitted with Peugeot's HYbrid4 technology. The all-wheel drive diesel-electric combines a 2.2 liter HDi unit with 150 kW (204 PS / 201 bhp) to power the front-axle while a 70 kW (95 PS / 95 bhp) electric motor drives the rear wheels. Total output is 220 kW (299 PS / 295 bhp).

The plug-in hybrid HX1 has a range of up to 30 km (18.6 miles) in all-electric mode with a fuel-economy rating of 3.2 liters/100 km (88 mpg UK / 73.5 mpg US) and CO2 emissions of 83 g/km.
