Lexus has downplayed rumors of a GS F, but a new report is indicating the car could be launched as a 2014 model.

Inside Line is reporting the M5 competitor will have a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine with approximately 550 hp (410 kW / 558 PS). It would reportedly be connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which would send power to the rear wheels.

Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda declined to confirm the speculation, but said "I want Lexus to be the brand chosen by the most sophisticated of drivers" and "don't worry about high-performance Lexuses like F Sport and F models going away."
