Independent artist's rendering of a Brabus tuned Mercedes-Benz CLS which was teased last week by the German tuner.

Last week we ran a story on a Brabus teaser for a new tuning job which will debut at the Frankfurt motor show.

At the time, we wrongly guessed that the model was a C63 AMG Coupe Black Series, whereas, on closer inspection, we realize it is very much a CLS.

As always, our expert readers said as much in the comments.

You can see on the teaser photo that the LED design inside the headlamp matches that of the CLS and the side mirrors are mounted on the door panel (on the C-Class they are attached at the window).

This independent artist rendering comes to us courtesy of Dan Buzdugan who envisions this second generation CLS as the successor to the notorious Brabus Rocket. Revealed back in 2005 the Brabus Rocket had 730 PS (720 bhp / 537-kW) from its 6.3-liter twin-turbo V12 engine.

Our thanks to Dan for the rendering!
