Stretched next-generation 3-Series will be sold in China only and offers an additional 10 to 15 cm of rear leg room.
Here are the fist spy photos available of the upcoming 2012 BMW 3-Series LWB (long wheelbase) for the Chinese market.
Caught testing a little closer to home in Germany, this next 3-Series (F30) prototype features an added 10 to 15 cm (3.9 to 5.9 inches) in length to provide for some extra rear-passenger leg room. In the photos here, we can see how the rear door seems to have been stretched longer.
Like the 5-Series, as well as competitors such as Audi does with the A4L, BMW will offer the 3-Series in China in a long wheelbase edition - stretched editions which are very popular with business executives in that country.
The Chinese-market 2012 BMW 3-Series is slated for a debut at the Beijing Motor Show in April 2012.
