Ferrari has been talking about hybrid technology ever since the HY-KERS concept debuted at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, but new details are starting to emerge about the production system.

According to Auto Car, the powertrain will be co-developed with Bosch and could debut in the California or next-generation 599. It will reportedly feature a compact floor-mounted battery and two electric motors with an "electronic torque shaping" system which helps to maintain momentum during gear changes.

Everything sounds rather promising, but it's all speculation at this point so stay tuned for updates.
