GM has introduced a new engine which will be debuting in the 2012 Buick LaCrosse when the model is launched later this year.
The new aluminum-block 3.6 liter direct-injection V6 LFX unit comes with 303 PS (223 kW / 299 bhp) 358 Nm (264 lb-ft) of torque, a boost of 23 PS ( 17 kW) over the previous unit.
Fuel-economy on the 2012 LaCrosse with the new 3.6 liter unit stays the same at 17 mpg city / 27 mpg highway (13.8 and 8.7 liters per 100 km) as the 2.4 liter four-cylinder.
Buick will offer the engine on the 2012 LaCrosse for the same sticker price as the 2.4 liter four-cylinder variant with eAssist on certain select trim-levels.
