According to a report by TheDetroitBureau.com, BMW will end production of the 1-Series M Coupe in December.
Even with ever more performance division products being produced, BMW still wants to keep the M-brand special.
But the news that the 1-Series M Coupe will be limited to a one-year production run is still surprising, given the volume appeal of the M division's cheapest model yet.
According to a report by TheDetroitBureau.com, BMW's U.S. M brand manager, Matt Russell, says the 1-Series M "will be a one-year car," and production is slated to end this December.
Perhaps this is BMW trying to maintain the exclusivity of the M badge. Or maybe the 1-Series M wasn't as profitable as they had hoped it would be.
