In an ironic turn of events, GM has become the first company to produce a Saab in nearly two months.

Yes, you read that correctly, the company that once left the Swedish brand for dead has now started building the 9-4X at their assembly plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. While this has always been planned, since the crossover is underpinned by the same platform as the Cadillac SRX, the move has taken a depressing tone as Saab production in Trollhattan has been halted over supplier payment issues.

Regardless, the 9-4X will arrive at U.S. dealerships next month and will be priced from $33,830.
