According to a recent report, the highly-anticipated Opel Calibra will be launched in early 2013.

According to a recent report, Opel will launch the new Calibra in early 2013.

While nothing is official, is claiming to have obtained documents which state the car will be based on the Insignia and built in Russelsheim, Germany.  This rules out the possibility of rear-wheel drive, but the range-topping OPC variant could be equipped with all-wheel drive and a turbocharged 2.8-liter V6 that produces 321 hp (239 kW / 325 PS) and 321 lb-ft (435 Nm) of torque.

Styling remains a bit of a mystery, but we can expect the Calibra to draw inspiration from the GTC and Flextreme GT concepts.
