Scion has officially pulled the wraps off the FR-S concept in New York.

Essentially a rebadged Subaru / Toyota FT-86, the FR-S has sporty styling that is highlighted by bulging fenders, an aggressive rear diffuser and 20-inch alloy wheels.

Scion is staying mum on specifics, but power is provided by a 2.0-liter boxer engine that can be mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.

The production model will be launched sometime next year, so stay tuned for more information.
