The CLS AMG 63 facelift gets new front grill and sporty changes in the rear
It looks now like a PR strategy rather than an unexpected leak. Just yesterday there was a photo of Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG facelift discovered and now everyone can enjoy two photos of the Mercedes-Benz CLS AMG 63 facelift on Mercedes-Benz Deutchland’s official Internet site. The difference is that we see the facelifted model on the AMG version first, before the Mercedes-Benz CLS becomes official, rather than the opposite as with SLK facelift.
The four door coupe receives small number of changes. Outside the AMG has a new front grille with three airflow sections instead of four. Also the wheels are changed from 18 to 19 inches. In the rear the CLS 63 AMG has new LED tailights, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, a new rear diffuser, and updated exhaust outlets. The interior gets a boost with new sporty seats, Alcantara leather, racetimer and aluminum paddles.
Under the hood there is the familiar AMG V8 514 hp, 630 Nm / 5.200 rpm engine with AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC gearbox that includes AMG paddle shift from the steering wheel. The CLS AMG facelift needs only 4.5 sec to reach 0-100 km/h, with combined fuel consumption of 14.5 l/100 km, and CO2 emissions of 345 g/km.
