Spy photos reveal more of the next-generation GL-Class's front fascia including the new headlights and grille.
Here are the latest spy shots of the upcoming 2012 Mercedes-Benz GL model spied while doing some cold-weather testing in northern Europe.
This prototype spotted here comes with less camouflage on the front end than in previous set of spy shots and we get to see more of its headlights with LED daytimer strip and the grille which carry styling cues from both the E-Class and the facelifted R-Class.
The 2012 GL-Class will be built on a stretched variant of the next-generation ML-Class platform. Engines expected include the 3.0 liter V6 and 4.0 liter V8 diesels and the 3.5 liter V6 and 5.5 liter V8 petrols, all likely coupled to Mercedes-Benz's 7G-Tronic seven-speed transmission.
The next-generation Mercedes-Benz GL-Class will probably debut later this year.
