Honda's Executive Vice President has confirmed the company will introduce a redesigned CR-V later this year.
Speaking during an earnings announcement, Koichi Kondo stated "Next fall the CR-V is going to get a full model change, so we have high expectations from that."
While he declined to provide additional information, the 2012 CR-V is expected to be slightly larger than today's model. Furthermore, a hybrid variant could be offered but nothing is official as of yet.
Regardless of what Honda has planned, the CR-V will become increasingly important to company's lineup as the Element was recently axed.
