According to a recent report, the Alfa Romeo 169 will be a four-door coupe with an optional twin-turbo V8 engine.
New details are starting to emerge about Alfa Romeo's upcoming 169.
Essentially a successor to the 166, the 169 will ride on the LX platform which currently underpins the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger. It will reportedly adopt four-door coupe styling and feature a number of design elements from the Mito, Giulietta and 8C Competizione.
A variety of petrol and diesel engines will be offered, but the big news is the possibility of a twin-turbo V8. Details are limited, but Auto Motor und Sport says it will displace 3.0-liters and produce "well over" 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS).
No word on when to expect the 169, but we wouldn't be surprised if it's still several years off.
