German tuner now offers comprehensive power boosting on the 1.2 TSI, 1.4 TSI and 1.6 TDI found on a models such as the A3 and the VW Scirocco.
Abt Sportsline has announced a new package of power upgrades for the VW Group's 1.2 TSI, 1.4 TSI and 1.6 TDI engines.
One of the advantages of buying a German car in Germany is that you get a chance at all the added options provided by the country's host of tuning outfits. But Abt Sportline is offering tuning on VW's slate of small power plants that go into many of its other brands inlcuding Audi, Seat and Skoda.
For the 1.2 liter TSI engine with 105 PS (77 kW) that comes available on the VW Polo, Golf and Scirocco models, and on the Seat Ibiza too, Abt dials power up to a hefty 140 PS (103 kW).
The upgrade on the 1.4 liter TSI with 122/125 PS (90/92 kW) boosts power up to 160 PS (118 kW) - an engine found in models such as the Audi A3 and the new European-spec VW Jetta.
On the juicier 1.4 TSI with 180 PS (132 kW) standard output found in the Polo GTI and the Seat Ibiza Cupra, Abt can take that up to a Golf GTI-level of 210 PS (154 kW).
Lastly, is the 1.6 liter TDI with 105 PS (77 kW) which the German tuner offers to fire up to either 116 PS (85 kW) or 125 PS (92 kW).
