Roush has unveiled the 2011 5XR, which is based on the Ford Mustang GT.
Available as a coupe or convertible, the 5XR features an aggressive body kit with a new front fascia, revised side skirts, a modified rear valance and a three-piece decklid spoiler. Other goodies include a billet grille, a sport suspension, and 20-inch wheels with Cooper RS3 tires.
Power is provided by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine which produces 525 hp (391 kW / 532 PS) and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, which should ensure rapid acceleration.
Production will be limited to 150 units and pricing starts at $15,390 (plus the cost of the Mustang).
