Stratos model sports the underpinnings of the Ferrari F430 Scuderia. Stratos model said to be a one-off creation for a rich European industrialist.
Some more photos of an alleged recreated 1972 Lancia Stratos have emerged. Last time, we were shown two pics of a Lancia Stratos said to be taken on an Alfa Romeo test track and that was supposed to be recent but couldn't be authenticated.
Here we have, though, some additional photos of the same car said to be a one-of-a-kind recreation of the Stratos from a joint project between Pininfarina and Fenomenon Holistic Design. The scoop is that a car enthusiast with a substantial amount of whim-spending capital has commissioned this single unit of the Stratos for his/her own enjoyment and ownership.
The underpinnings of the car are from a Ferrari F430 Scuderia, although the wheelbase may have been shortened to maintain the Stratos' exceptional road agility.
This latest Stratos creation recalls the Fenomenon Stratos Concept which premiered at the Geneva auto show in 2005. That model, made of an aluminum chassis and carbon fiber body components, sported a 425 PS (313 kW / 419 hp) V8 engine.
