According to a recent report, Spyker will introduce a street-legal C8 Spyder GT2 in China.

While details are limited, the special edition will likely be based on the Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder but trimmed out like the C8 Laviolette LM85 which is a street-legal version of the C8 Laviolette GT2R. It will reportedly feature a number of "Chinese design elements" which should help it appeal to local consumers.

Under the hood, we can expect the LM85's powertrain to carry over. This means the roadster will likely have an Audi-sourced 4.2-liter V8 with 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque. It will probably be connected to a Getrag six-speed manual transmission and a Drexler limited slip differential.

An October launched is rumored, so stay tuned for details.
