Hyundai has announced pricing for the updated 2009 Sonata starts at $18,795.

Just days after revealing the 2009 Sonata at the Chicago Auto Show, Hyundai has announced pricing for the updated model. Powered by either a 2.4L four-cylinder rated at 175hp or a 3.3L V6 which puts out 249hp, the company is confident that car is “very well equipped to compete with the best mid-size sedans on quality, craftsmanship, capability…and of course, value.”

The updated exterior features a new grille, reshaped headlights and more prominent fog lights, while the interior gets a redesign that makes use of higher grade materials for a more luxurious expereience. The freshened Hyundai Sonata reaches US dealerships later this month.
