According to a recent report, McLaren may introduce a 2+2 version of the MP4-12C supercar.

[UPDATE]  Autobild's story is challenged as InsideLine is reporting that they have received direct word from McLaren's PR chief, Mark Harrison, that they will absolutely not build a 2+2 MPR-12C.

According to a recent report, McLaren may introduce a 2+2 version of the MP4-12C supercar.

While details are scare, the model could be launched next year. If the reports are correct, the car would feature rear seats fit for small children. We're a tad skeptical, but we can understand McLaren's desire to expand the lineup to include models besides the rumored MP4-12C Spider.

To refresh, the MP4-12C features a twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 with 447 kW (600 bhp / 608 PS) and 599 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is connected to a seven-speed "Seamless Shift" dual-clutch transmission - with normal, sport and high performance modes - that enables the supercar to hit a top speed in excess of 300 km/h (186 mph).
