Check out this gallery of spy photos featuring the Aston Martin Rapide, as it gets ready for upcoming endurance races.
Aston Martin was spied testing vehicles on the Nürburgring this week. These photos are of the race-ready Aston Martin Rapide four-door, getting set to square off the track.
The Rapide is being prepped for a four-hour race this weekend, before tackling the 24 Hour Nürburgring endurance race in mid-May. A racing version of the English automaker's V12 Vantage is also expected to race on the Nordschleife.
Rear doors on the racing Rapide have been sealed off, and the car looks like it is riding a bit closer to the ground. Work done on the Rapide looks to include a lower to the ground front bumper, a rollcage and racing tires and wheels.
The new Aston Martin Rapide carries a 6.0-liter V12 that pushes out 470 horsepower (350 kW, 477 PS), and up to 600 Nm (443 ft-lb) of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed Touchtronic 2 semi-automatic transmission.
