Cadillac has released the first pictures of the CTS-V Sport Wagon. See them inside.

While Volvo and BMW are dropping wagons in the U.S., Cadillac has released the first pictures of the CTS-V Sport Wagon.

Set to go on sale in late 2010 (European and Middle Eastern sales will occur shortly thereafter), the Sport Wagon features a unique mix of performance and practicality. It has 25.4 cubic feet (720 liters) of space behind the rear seats and 58 cubic feet (1,644 liters) with the seats folded down.

Like the coupe and sedan, power comes from a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 556 horsepower (415 kW / 564 PS) and 551 lb-ft (747 Nm) of torque. Connected to a six-speed transmission (manual or automatic), the engine should allow the wagon to rocket from 0-60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds (official performance data is still pending).

Other performance goodies include Magnetic Ride Control, Brembo brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires.
